300 hectares of protected dunes

Welcome to Erdeven, 300 hectares of protected dunes and 8 kms of coastline. A megalithic mecca, the commune is rich in dolmens and menhirs, making it the most important megalithic site in Brittany after Carnac.

The Kerzerho giants, the Mané-Bras dolmens, Caesar’s chair, the Crucuno dolmen and the Crucuno quadrilateral are just some of Erdeven’s megaliths classified as historic monuments in 1862.

The Château de Keravéon, a large seigneurial estate, offers a visit to its park: fitness trail, botanical trail, children’s play areas.

In the hinterland, numerous calvaries and old chapels. Don’t miss: the Kercadio manor house and the Narbon mill. 80 km of footpaths and cycle paths stretch along the coast, allowing you to discover Erdeven and its rich heritage at your leisure.

Erdeven boasts 3 beautiful stretches of sand: Kerhillio beach, Kerouriec beach and Kerminihy beach.

When it comes to activities, Erdeven has plenty to offer, including board sports, water sports, Morbihan surfing, sand yachts, tree climbing, horse riding, paintball, mini-golf and squash, go-karting and tennis. You can also enjoy sea cruises and other boat trips. Make the most of your vacation at La Croix Villieu campsite, near the Quiberon peninsula, to discover the charming towns and villages of Brittany, including Belz, Sainte Anne d’Auray, Plouharnel and Lorient. For sightseeing near Erdeven, you can visit the Carnac alignments and their large menhirs, or the Château de Keravéon.

A number of megalithic remains can be discovered along the sunken paths and wooded areas near the commune of Erdeven in Brittany.
The Kerzerho site boasts 190 menhirs, making it the largest megalithic site in the region after Carnac.

Not to be missed is the Megaliths hiking trail.

After a two-hour walk, visitors have the chance to appreciate the Kerzerho giants, stones weighing forty tonnes and measuring 6 metres in height. The dolmens and menhirs of Mané-Bras and Mané-Croc’h, as well as the Crucuno dolmen and quadrilateral, are also worth a visit.

The Etel River

Located at the eastern end of Quiberon Bay, between land and sea, the Ria d’Etel is a landscape that’s easy to fall in love with on your vacation near the Quiberon peninsula.

Holidaymakers in search of quiet, intimate spots will appreciate the small, secret beaches of this small inlet.

Visitors also appreciate the authentic little ports and oyster beds. The Ria d’Etel is also worth a visit.

These include Etel and its port, the Musée des Thoniers and the village of Saint-Cado in Belz.

8 km of wild beaches and dunes at Erdeven

Erdeven has it all. Holidaymakers have the chance to enjoy its long beach, which forms an 8 km coastline.

The town is also known for its 300 hectares of protected wild dunes.

  • Not to be missed is the family-friendly Kerhillio beach, appreciated as much for its breathtaking views of the Quiberon peninsula and Belle-Ile-en-Mer as for its water sports (sand yachting, surfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddling…).
  • The rockier Kerouriec beach also attracts many holidaymakers. In particular, it offers a space for absolute relaxation and disconnection.
  • The Kerminihy beach, the wildest on the coast, is a great place to admire the waves, but also to discover one of the bunkers of the Atlantic Wall.
